I dutifully rocked out the proper dance, even though it's probably been 20 years since it's come on (shame on everyone who hadn't played it, it's a banger) and I haven't thought about it in ages Everyone watched me in awe. Does no one else REMEMBER? For me those moves came back like riding a bike.

Tonight on the dance floor, things got good when the music seemed to be going in the direction of the #Macarena;finally it came, everyone did great and turned clockwise like is normal. Phew. Then I felt rather - unsure? Not old but odd. #Steps' #5-6-7-8 was next.

Not sure I've dared wear a heel like this since I first started suffering from Plantar Faciitis - over 2 years ago. I found these in a charity shop when looking for some smart flats to wear to an event this evening, but here we are. They're super comfy. I hope they continue to be.

Today the schools went back and the roads became chaotic. I drove 1.5 miles to collect my cats from the vet (dental) and I could have walked there in the same amount of time. I would have done too, if I hadn't had to bring them home!

Mum is part Arabian Mau. They are affectionate cats and follow you around a lot. They can be quite noisy. If anyone is interested let me know and I can put you in touch with my friend.

Saw my mum today for the first time since getting my new tattoo (depicting girlcat) I am 38. I've been an adult longer than I've been a child. She sucked in her breath, and told me she hopes I don't get any more. Well given I have two more in the pipeline, I guess she just won't be shown ;)

Oh, same. It reminds me of when I used to do 5:2 and would spend much time during fast days doing those BuzzFeed quizzes where you pick food options. It should have made me hungrier but it somehow didn't! I think this has merit

Thought I'd booked spin this evening but I went on the app to cancel (tattoo related, yay) and it wasn't there. I went along anyway and they've cancelled the class. Turned out I'd never actually booked, else I'd have been told. Leg day it became (which was good, as I didn't want to sweat: new tat)

Some days, there is a need to come to this most special place. Here, the quiet drowns the bustle even outside the window behind me, I can hear tourists chatting, the choir practicing, but this chapel is still peaceful. Thinking today of a very special family dealing with some devastating news.

Someone I used to know, and very much respected, who was key in my involvement at the Cathedral, died last night. I had been waiting for and dreading the news for some years. Now the news has come, we move into a time of gratefulness for his ministry and for his life, despite its brevity.
