It’s often argued by Australian self proclaimed “world leading” tobacco control advocates that reducing the tobacco excise and sensibly legalising the sale of non deadly vapes outside the current failed chemist model is raising the white flag 🏳️ to organised crime.

Of 1.2 bn people in world frequently taking nicotine, mainly by smoking, 8 million die/year from smoking. Conventional tobacco control only slightly reduced smoking. But smoking fell much faster in countries where low-risk, smoke-free vaping is popular. @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social
