One of those rare occasions where I prefer the live version to the studio one. Strange feeling indeed.

What I want: an indication of how long my currently-playing queue is. No default infinite algorithm play after the music I've chosen finishes. What I get: a less distinctive icon. Rounded corners.

Goddammit Apple Music, it is far too early in the morning for me to deal with a new UI.

I’m on the WhatsApp for my kids kindergarten class, it’s only been a few months so still getting to know each other. Someone is going in for knee surgery and everyone is saying good luck. It’s taking everything I have not to be like “break a leg!” What is wrong with me???

Time for a new pinned post... I write short stories, and sometimes even tell/show them to other people! You can find links to the ones I've put out into the world at www.draliceviolett.com/short-stories #ShortStories

it is never appropriate to write "i asked an llm and this is what it said:" either the listener uses llms, in which case they can use an llm on their side, or they don't want to use llms, in which case inflicting llm text on them is rude and inconsiderate

when ads get through my filters, they're often rather poorly targeted because I don't fit into typical interest buckets for my gender and age, but this ad that's clearly targeted at a Levite tribesman from 1200 BCE is perhaps the furthest from the mark yet

an ad with a typical Bible story illustration of the parting of the Red Sea with the Ark of the Covenant being carried through, which is getting some details of that story rather out of order in a way even an evil atheist like me can quickly spot; the ad text reads:

The path to victory - facing uncertain times? discover why bearing the Covenant is key to national victory and spiritual strength! You are part of it! Let get involved! [not a typo in the transcription, but in the source image]
