It might actually be the opposite. In terminal ballistics there's something called "neck" that is the time between entry and expansion. Once a bullet expands, it dumps energy and can more effectively wound. In people that are very skinny, a bullet can "pencil through" without expansion.

Swords are always great. But might I suggest the gateway drug, big ass knives? Or perhaps a wooden boken? I'm fond of the OKC Cerberus but they are hard to find and have doubled in price. Or maybe a nice carbon steel mora knife? Cheap and amazing.

I will say this, make a shortcut to your home screen that connects directly to the document. If you just want to write stuff down, keep or Google docs is great. Just put the date at the beginning of each entry and put the new ones BEFORE the old ones. Less scrolling.

I'm working on something similar for tracking my workouts. I feel like there has to be a way. But I'd probably just make one sheet per month ahead of time and put the dates already in it, that way I can just scroll down and go. Plus, if I miss a day the gap will be obvious.
