1/ Very curious about this, @cfcamerer.bsky.social. Long-term growth optimization, studied in ergodicity economics, provides an interesting baseline for the "cold calculation" part of loss aversion. It makes predictions that may already be testable using data you've collected.

We know how to successfully use tons of data to (often) end up making poor, noncredible causal estimates uninformative to neither policies nor theories. We know less abt how to successfully build theories that push social sciences forward (eg ABM failed, dynamical systems're too hard). Much needed!
