Pretty good going from BBC R4's Today to talk for 15 minutes about the disaster in Nepal and not once mention the impact of climate change A massive chunk of glacier collapsed and fell 1.2km, reduced to 'flash flood'.

Ooh - the latest @gem.org.uk Journal of Education in Museums has just landed and it looks like a cracker - haven’t felt this excited to dive into a publication like this for a while.
Book cover of the journal detailing the contributions - on contested terrain, burnout, resistance, radical pedagogies, and solidarities.

I work for a public sector body. Someone important has had an idea and wants us to do it. Everyone agrees the idea is not viable. But because we can't say no, we're paying a consultancy £100k to come up with the evidence to say its not viable. This happens a lot.

A Sheffield wide screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by a guided discussion with residents, community groups, local businesses, and invited councillors and MPs — encouraging open, evidence based conversation. Book free tickets now 🎟️: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-people...
A black event poster with white and red text titled "People's Emergency Briefing: On the climate and nature crisis" taking place in Sheffield City Centre. In the top right corner is a logo featuring a stylized Union Jack flag and the words "National Emergency Briefing".

The bottom section includes a QR code, the website "www.nebriefing.org", and details stating: "Film screening and discussion, free tickets via Eventbrite. Local MPs and Councillors have been invited. Adsetts Centre (Next to Odeon Luxe), Arundel Gate entrance, S1 1WB. 16th July 2026 7pm."

In the bottom right corner is a red circle containing the number "16". While the film holds an official 12A rating, this symbol denotes a strong psychological recommendation from the campaign's partner, the Climate Psychology Alliance, advising a minimum age of 16 due to the intense nature of the material.
