The gold tooling on the cover replicating Kintsugi is a really beautiful touch. No spoilers, but each of the sketches relate to stories throughout the book! Very easy to read too, which always helps! (reposted with alt text!)
The beige cover of Maintenance of Everything by Stewart Brand. It’s stamped and is styled like Kintsugi - the Japanese art of taking broken pottery and reassembling it with treesap laquer and powdered gold, silver or platinum.

There are various drawings of the Statue of Liberty, a sail boat, alphabets, maps, Venn diagrams, and a workshop each relating to one story in the book.

We live right by a forest; and we often hear them. One time, one landed right on my garden fence, and I only noticed it when i parked the car, looked up and it was 2 meters away from me. Couldn’t get a photo quick enough, but it flew a few more metres away and …

Here’s two photos captured in August 2026 of the view in recent times!

Now I just need a better name, a domain, hosting, and time. I will still note: Our scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. pds.ls/at://did:plc...
An extremely rudimentary OpenDocument text editor that saves OpenDocument format documents to a PDS, using lexicon records.

It's not using spaces (yet), and it doesn't offer an export mode yet either.

Like I said, extremely rudimentary!

What happens when you run the Open Document Format XML Specification through an AI models, and generate ATProto lexicons?

You get lexically valid lexicons...

🇨🇦 Lake Louis and Banff are 👌 🇨🇦
“The window” at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. It’s a round top arch window with a view that runs the entire length of the lake up into the Victoria Glacier and the mountains behind.

The lake is a beautiful turquoise colour, with evergreen trees on the mountains, and strata (the striped lines) of sediment on the mountains which are still topped with snow - even in mid August!Lakeside at Lake Louise. A blue sky(!) above the turquoise lake, with the mountains running down into a V in the middle of the frame.

The strata (striped lines) show the sediment layers on the mountains which are covered by snow; with a blotchy cloud cover to bootThe view of Banff National Park looking across Banff town from the Banff Upper Hot Springs. The sky is many shades of grey with cloud cover. A splotch of blue in there too.

There’s a landscape of brown mountains as far as the eye can see, and some evergreen trees in the foreground. The hot springs water running down a waterfall. The sulphur has turned many of the stones in yellow. The water is running at such a pace that it’s frothing with white

@aresluna.org here’s 3 of them!
House number 4540

The 4 is an Open 4, with the vertical left line being somewhat slanted in towards the vertical main stem. The ends of the parts are all quite bulbous.

The 5 has quite a serif style belly, with a long hook reaching back towards the neck. The ends of the horizontal bar is quite bulbous.

The 0 is quite elongated, and an imperfect centre, and outer edge too

The numbers are white, the house is creamy, with brown fixtures and there’s a green hedge in the photo too.House number 1401. I’ll describe the 1 as the 4 and 0 are described in the first image.

The serif is quite thick and angled down quite sharply and tightly against the main stem. The ends are quite bulbous.

The numbers are black, the house is grey. There’s a brown door, and a window on the house with a white frame.House number 1311. I’ll describe the 3 since the number 1 is described in the second image.

The upper loop of the number 3 droops quite a lot towards the bottom loop of the number. The centre vertex doesn’t protrude too far across the centre of the number, but stays quite far to the right side.

The numbers are grey on a green house. There’s a shingle roof, covered in pine needles and a branch of a pine tree sneaking into the image from the top left.

In the foreground, the MiG-17 Fresco is taxiing right to left on the taxiway at Abbotsford Airport. In the background, a CF-18 Hornet is taxiing to a parking spot from left to right.

Danny Murphy, Former England midfielder on BBC website

A post titled "We did get him back' - Murphy on Bob the cat"

Body of the post reads:

Surprisingly there was a lot of interest... we did get him back six or seven weeks later. Unfortunately he had gone feral and we couldn't re-intergrate him in the home and he ended up living with my friend's parents in Preston.

That was the life he had and now he has passed away, unfortunately. Thanks for all the concern those who have been messaging us.
