Pour one out for my first workplace, R063, aka the Towson Apple Store. Disappointed to see my local store closing it's doors. Wishing my friends there the best of luck finding new positions.

It has been my schtick for years to evaluate the latest crop of tight ends in the NFL Draft. This year is no different. Listen in to me and Ken discuss the position at length on his podcast. I'll be recording with Jason to do another TE discussion on his channel in the coming days.

Like I quipped on the platform formerly known as Twitter… I have been quite lazy updating the blog, but I assure you I have lots of ideas in my ideas note that are evergreen and maybe coming soon. Maybe. Earlier in the offseason I joined Byron’s show prognosticating how I’d handle the Ravens offseason. So far it has not gone to my plan, but still worth a watch if you’re curious.

Really enjoyed watching this video about ASML's EUV machines. A bunch of absolutely ridiculous innovations had to be made in order to make this technique work. We owe all of modern computing to these seemingly unreasonable breakthroughs.

I almost always drive when I go somewhere with my wife. But since I had a long day and wanted to unwind a bit I asked her if she could drive as we went to see Wicked with some friends. The timing was impeccable. We’re only about 15 minutes down the road when the news broke. We each responded equally. …

Ever since I published my Fire John Harbaugh post, I thought of him as on a performance improvement plan, or a PIP as folks call it at the 9 to 5. He wasn't going to go mid-season, but might he go at the end of the year? Time will tell. All I know is after watching them find similar ways to win, like tonight's poor clock management decision on the second breakaway touchdown by Zay, I struggle to believe situational football is a point of emphasis of his. We have seen far too many "traditional" football decisions. Silent Steve, it's time to hear your voice.

Spotify Wrapped and thus Apple Replay day is my favorite day on social media, and maybe one of my favorite days of the year. I love to see what people have been listening to. Going into the year, I expected Dream Theater or Steven Wilson to fight for a top spot because of their new albums. They were 2 and 3 respectively and only with their powers combine could they overcome number 1...

Earlier today I recorded with Josh of DolphinsTalk about the upcoming Thursday Night Football game against our teams. It was nice to finally sync up together on his show after interacting in the Bad Faith Times Discord for the last few years. Also I joined my friend Ellen on her show about healing journeys earlier this month. She summarized the conversation well: …

Got invited to do a show with The Ravens Way and had a lot of fun talking about the state of the Ravens. They decided to run it back this year, which I think was a fine choice. Next year will be a big change to the roster with the multitude of contracts expiring. That said, might have a change in the coaching staff too.

The thing they don't tell you growing up about life is this: Life? It's every single day. -Gary Gulman The last few weeks I feel like I have been just treading water. This feeling started with Greek Festival Week (last post was right before then), and I think MAYBE just maybe it is coming to an end. So let's catch up.

The NFL has purposely transformed itself into the NBA over the last couple decades; ideally they want every game, esp every big game between contenders, to come down to the final possession. And that means you must keep scoring. The Ravens did not. Love this quote from Jim’s latest article. One reason I wrote my piece on John is because I don’t think he recognizes this change in how the NFL operates. Check it out!

Please consider donating to my 2025 St. Jude campaign. This year I’m offering photography tips, a bag of roasted coffee, and mini family photography sessions if you’re in the Baltimore / DC area.

If you’re looking for something neat today, look no further than Caleb Denison’s return to YouTube after his legal dispute with his former employer and my appearance on Derek Likes Sports where we discuss the very sad loss the Ravens had with a Bills fan along with other NFL Week 1 happenings. I come in at 48:30 but watch it all!

I don’t say this lightly, but I have seen enough. He is too conservative in games, no wonder he rubs elbows with Donald Trump. So many inexcusable mistakes, including not going for two to make it a potential 3 possession game and the horrid 2nd down call in the final offensive possession. And to make it worse, they elect not to go for it on 4th down.

I’ve got a lot of stuff I wanna write about that have nothing to do with this but in the meantime, something to munch on.

After complaining about the Blue app (what Meta calls Facebook internally), I decided for the first time in my mobile phone history to remove it from my homescreen. With my new found slot, I finally set up Tapestry and boy oh boy am I loving it. RSS, Bluesky, and Mastodon all under one roof! Should have done this months ago when it launched in February.

There are ways to preserve American democracy. None of them are ideal.

Man, the last month has felt like a bit of a whirlwind and I've got a few things I want to post about so let's jump right on in. Last Monday Rachel and I were able to go on a date night which included hot pot and pinball machines. Rachel would like folks to know that she got the best score of the night.

Absolutely incredible that in the year 2025, the best way to click a link someone shares on Instagram is to take a screenshot and use Visual Intelligence to navigate to it. User hostile antipatterns all in the name of engagement.

Speaking of 1 Winning Pod, Peter was on Derek’s new podcast and I enjoyed the episode thoroughly. If you liked our jersey takes, definitely watch this episode and Peter’s blind ranking.

I genuinely can’t believe there is a home Ravens football game this evening. Now that 1 Winning Pod is retired, it really snuck up on me. Last night Jason asked me to join him for his Wednesday live stream to discuss the game. Check it out!

A very depressing day for birdland. Trying to remind myself that we should have the opportunity to resign Ceddy and O’Hearn but it’s not helping. Hopefully the excitement of watching some youngsters get their first big league experience will help in the coming days.

Finished my #SFB15 draft today and am looking forward to seeing how this team fares. The back half of the draft is a "self parody" per my friend Derek and I wouldn't have it any other way. Had to cleanse my palate after some of those early picks that made me sick.
