It tries to be about similar things as Smile, but the main character in 2 is just trying to girlboss her way through multiple problems, none of which are being dismissed for being a woman. I can't fathom how people think it's a good movie.

Ok, so you've seen Smile. Our main character begs, pleads, and seeks out help from half a dozen different people only to be dismissed because woman. In Smile 2 she never once asks for help, but repeats the resonant line from the first "Why is noone listening to me?!!?" at the end.

Smile 2 made me so angry. It's a bad movie, this is just the situation where horror fans like almost anything vaguely horror shaped. It tried to trade in similar themes to Smile and utterly failed to do so. It's a mess.
