Capital gains tax loophole will cost Canada $36.9B this year, mostly benefitting the wealthiest 1.5%. (over 60% of the benefit goes to those making more than 1/4 mill $ a year) A universal, single-payer pharmacare program would cost only $11.2B in its first year, rising to $13.4 billion in five.

I learned a lot in the research for this and I'm proud of the episode we put together. Reactionary cultural framing of childhood and family life can make it hard to talk about trans issues productively w/o unpacking a lot of that first. We try to do that here.
