Have to say I'm shocked the Lions game is apparently set to go ahead tomorrow. I know the Lions have said they want to. But I cannot imagine anyone's heads are going to be in the right place for a rugby match.

I wish more games reviews would at least nod towards the price of the game. I'm not saying it needs to be factored into the score or assessment of quality, but I've seen a couple of 'sadly lacks any form of longevity or replay-ability beyond a few hours' womp-womps today about a game that costs £4.

A definite sign of ageing is that you cannot impress me with "over 20 years" anymore. Am I expected to think this sauce is ancient, because it's as old as Nelly Furtado's Maneater?

Not saying it’s a wrong move necessarily, but I don’t think banning things magically changes attitudes the way politicians want it to. Education is the key. Plus you know what often makes stuff seem even more taboo and exciting? If it’s illegal. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

What’s the Over/Under on the number of times Crofty will use the ‘Lights, Camara, Action!’ joke next season? (Also, why are so many F1 drivers annoyingly handsome? Rafael looks like one of those ‘turn yourself into a Disney prince’ AI generations.)

Had one of those days at work where 99.5% of it was fine/great, and then the last part was so upsettingly shit that I’ve gone home and sat for four hours wondering whether anything I do or produce has any intrinsic value whatsoever. You can see why folk just become writers. I wouldn’t even do events

Always happy to see Scotland’s women’s team do well, but that’s a fearsome playoff prospect they’ve earned themselves.
From there, their place in round two of the play-off was confirmed and they will face Sweden, who won 10-0 on the night - and 15-0 on aggregate - against Lithuania in Stockholm.

Bloody hell. I only found out I had ‘please scrape all of my Snapchat content for AI training’ turned on when I was trying to find ‘Please stop showing me Spotlight notifications every day - I’ve asked you before, but you’ve toggled it back on again.’ Insidious pricks.
Generative AI Settings (now toggled off), allowing Snap to use public content I’ve shared to develop and improve Snap’s generative AI content creation models. This can improve the quality and safety of these models for all Snapchatters.

Don’t really buy old games any more, but I did pick this one up pretty much purely for the cover art. There’s a lot going on, but for me the highlight might be the Rictus Sisters over there.
Cover of Soccer for the Game Boy. A player in a white kit bursts through an image of a stadium, kicking a ball, while other players, managers, a referee in a very formal top and two cheerleaders surround the central ball-kickerThe two cheerleaders, in Stars and Stripes outfits, cheer on the players with faces displaying forced and fixed enthusiasm

I think I’m comfortably in the boat where it doesn’t bother me in and of itself, but I’m pretty sure we used to have more than one thing 😃 And the only embarrassing stuff in Boston happened on the pitch.

I always feel sorry for ‘The UK’s Jacksonville Jaguars.’ Hey, we like them. But there’s a lot of fans who are getting their one chance to see whichever team they’re playing, so most of the time it always feels at best like a neutral venue. Today, as it sometimes does, it sounds like an away game.

Of all the Jaguars drives to have ever existed, that one was particularly Jaguaresque.

I see they’ve played a radio message from Hamilton at the end: "Sorry, boys. I let you down today with that strategy. My call, and I lost us valuable points. I'll try and make up for it in the next one.” Maybe what they actually need is a stronger hand at the tiller. I honestly don’t know.

I swear the penalty for pass interference in the NFL could be 14 automatic points, and defenders would still blatantly do it.

I hardly ever buy it, so I’m probably coming very late to this gripe, but didn’t tins of corned beef use to be cheap? I know everything in the supermarket costs a hundred pounds now, but £4 a can for minced miscellanea feels truly mad.
