I feel like a contrarian once again, but I kinda like how absurdly maximalist the Zelda remake is. Gives big 90s fantasy vibes. The only thing that bugs me is being able to see every strand of the characters hair.

And putting it bluntly, this game's mere concept as a remake/reimagining doesn't grab me in the slightest. Sure, the original OoT definitely shows some of its age, but the 3DS remaster already did a good enough job of updating the original game. This remake doesn't need to exist.

Gonna be honest, y'all: the OoT remake doesn't excite me. Graphics look too "Unreal Engine" and aren't really fitting for the Zelda series, or Nintendo as a whole for that matter. It doesn't look bad, but it looks barely more stylized than any other AAA game nowadays.

The reason I hate genAI as much as I do isn’t just a matter of aesthetics or worries about impact on creative industries. It’s also a matter of not being able to trust that something I’m looking at isn’t real or was spoofed. It contributes to disinformation and creates an environment of mistrust.
