This has been what is absolutely gobsmacking to me. The whole conceit of the 3 branches is "ambition checks ambition." But I see hardly any ambition in Congress or the court. I guess they want to keep their jobs, but I don't understand that either. They don't want to DO their jobs, so why have them?

Yes, and this is a huge reason community immunity is so important; infant daycare is going to be a place where there are a lot of unvaccinated people simply bc of their age & the vaccine schedule. They need to be protected by herd immunity out in the world until they can be vaxxed.

I recently split my IG accounts into two, one for people I know & community stuff, the other for all other accounts. And there's a hidden way you can see your feed in reverse chronological order. Click "Instagram" in the left corner & choose "Following." It's the only thing that keeps IG tolerable

This Fourth of July, I am thinking about the 139 civil servants who took an oath to uphold the constitution and the EPA’s mission, and were placed on leave for raising concerns about issues such as deregulating asbestos and lead exposure. This is un-American. The 1st amendment exists for a reason.
