So anecdotal, but a trans friend of mine says he absolutely believes in the ‘man cold’ now because how he experiences it now that he’s on T is so incredibly different than how he experienced it when he was living as a woman. He swears that it is so, so much worse. I thought that was fascinating!

My spouse and I both hate to shop which means I’m headed to Kohl’s over lunch to buy him emergency pants because he realized his ancient dress pants are more of an idea than pants and he has a job interview tomorrow.(He can buy his own pants, but he works ridiculous hours, hence the job interview.)

I keep reading about this unity and bond that I truly did not see. It immediately went to Islamophobia. IMMEDIATELY. I did not ever see this shared purpose. This time was definitely unlike anything I’ve ever seen before or since, but not in a unity kind of way.

Pretty much the only reason I work full time is because of health insurance. I’m pretty resourceful and can live on very little money, but I’m not willing to gamble with health insurance. My autoimmune condition means I can’t just grab a high deductible just in case plan off the exchange.

When I was a teenager, we mostly hung out at parks/outside, although we could go to the mall and not get chased out, and coffee houses still let you sit all day. I have a distinct “buy a coffee and get the hell out” vibe from them these days and I’m a middle-aged white lady.
