Today, the Supreme Court issued a devastating ruling limiting lower courts’ ability to challenge TPS terminations — clearing the way for TPS terminations for Haiti and Syria to move forward and stripping hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Syrians of their status.

Mayor Adams’ Dept. of Homeless Services is piloting new rules that could eject shelter residents for missing benefits appointments or refusing housing. This isn’t “accountability,” it's a policy designed to increase street homelessness. ACT strongly opposes it.

DHS deported 8 immigrants without giving notice to their legal teams and violating a federal court order. Lawyers were told the men were being sent to South Sudan, but the flight had landed in Djibouti. We oppose this reckless and unjust action that puts lives at risk and ignores basic due process.

The State Dep. has increased the travel advisory level for South Sudan to the highest level. Instead of announcing a decision 60 days prior to the TPS expiration date as the statute states, the Admin has left South Sudanese TPS holders waiting.
