Hi! I'm Rachel Garrett Steele. I'm part of this record, and I think it's pretty damn great. If you want to hear nearly a dozen meditations on one of the most complicated legacies in pop music, in a dazzling variety of styles and approaches, I cannot recommend "Loser Babies" enough

Just to come back with receipts, Max sold both the publishing and songwriting royalties to Is a Real Boy (and In Defense of the Genre) 3 years ago. When we say he makes literally no money off of our tribute compilation, we mean it. It's the only reason we aren't taking it down.

We have a tribute compilation to The Beach Boys coming out this Friday. All Brian Wilson joints. Fuck Mike Love. K see you then.

This aged well. Just gonna throw out there that he doesn't receive any royalties from our tribute comp so feel free to replace IARB in your music library with Is a Real Tribute.

For transparency: we raised a little over $60 yesterday for Food4NJ to help get groceries to families of people detained at Delaney Hall. I donated so the org gets $100 after the payment processor the org uses takes their fee.

If you preordered a 2nd press blink comp cassette and live in the US, your order is packed and you should have tracking emailed to you. International orders will take a bit longer. Hopefully by the end of next week.

A Few Good Records @afewgoodrecords.bsky.social · 17/03/2026

Quick update for the 2nd press blink tapes. Blanks are in. The plan is to work on them over the weekend/early next week. Domestic orders will go out as soon as they're done. International ones will go out a couple at a time gradually so I'm not annoying at the post office with so many customs forms

010

A Few Good Records @afewgoodrecords.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

We've officially closed the preorder window for the blink comp and ordered the 2nd run. 40 copies total in this run, and we'll have a few extra after orders are fulfilled next month.

We passed 50 cassettes ordered for the blink comp. Which is insane. It's currently our second largest run for a release. Our biggest cassette run for a release goes to our Pat the Bunny comp from a while back. We did 100 of those. Can we outdo that one with the blink comp by the end of the month?

010

A Few Good Records @afewgoodrecords.bsky.social · 08/02/2026

Because of all of you that supported the blink comp, we just donated $1216.21 to trans lifeline!!!! Thank you all so much. Preorders are still open for the 2nd batch of cassettes, and I'd like to do another big donation at the end of the month once we close that window.
