It’s hopeless. I’ll never not tap the spatial scene button in the Photos app when I want to move a photo to our shared library.

Haven't been keeping up much with #WWDC build-up so far, but are there no one-on-one virtual tech labs this year? That was the best part. What a bummer.

In anticipation of my Pebble Round 2, I made a retro watch face for Longplay. This is so much fun and makes me much more excited about it than my Apple Watch, which is just a workout tracker these days. May can't come soon enough.

Great rundown of music players for Linux. I'm still on macOS for my daily driver but Linux is tempting me more and more. I'll see where Apple is going with macOS 27. If I ever make the switch, I'll bring @longplay.rocks with me though :)

I'm excited for the Steam devices despite their lower specs. It boils down to their unrestricted capabilities: adrian.schoenig.me/blog/2025/11...

While I'm working on some bigger features, I like dropping these small quality-of-life updates in between. (And, yes, I'm still on Sequoia as my daily driver. It just feels more polished than where Tahoe's at.)

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Longplay for Mac 0.9.0 is now available in Early Access. Short release notes but a sweet new feature: Support for local folders as the source of your music — as an alternative, or in addition to, Apple Music. Feedback appreciated, as always. Grab the update through the app or from longplay.rocks.
Release Notes:

- Adds support for local folders as the source of your music. Works in conjunction with Apple Music, too.
- Fixes album art in dock icon not updating immediately when album changes.

Nice to see Bluesky becoming active, and in particular #XR and #Elixir folks taking refuge here. I migrated to Mastodon a good two years ago now with most of the #iOS folks. Would have been nice if the Donno* attracted more this time around, but this seems a good alternative - at least for now. * 🇦🇺
