same site also requires (at least!) $20 to join, uses likely-generative-AI art on their 404 page, and has a vague definition of what they define as obscene or pornographic in their ToS which could imply that certain things like trans people existing is against the rules. yeah, let's ignore this.

section of their website which mentions that in order to join you need $20, and $40 if you want to "fight".

their 404 page which includes likely generative AI art of a whale being lifted out of the ocean by a bunch of blue birds. got this when I tried going to their community guidelines page which is not even linked on their website lol - it's just text you select.

a section of twitter.now's terms of service, part 7 specifically.
"7. General Prohibitions and Bluebird's Enforcement Rights.
You agree to abide by Bluebird's guidelines and policies that Bluebird provides from time to time. In
addition, you agree not to do any of the following:
a. Post, upload, publish, submit or transmit any User Content that: (i) infringes, misappropriates or
violates a third party's Intellectual Property Rights, or rights of publicity or privacy; (ii) violates, or
encourages any conduct that would violate, any applicable law or regulation or would give rise to
civil liability or concerns by certain regulatory agencies; (iii) is fraudulent, false, misleading or
deceptive; (iv) is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar or offensive; (v) promotes
discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment or harm against any individual or group; (vi) is
violent or threatening or promotes violence or actions that are threatening to any person or
entity; or (vii) promotes illegal or harmful activities or substances;"

I've highlighted part IV of that paragraph because it doesn't give examples on what is defined to be obscene and/or pornographic. they could mean anything from a trans person existing to porn, but they don't give examples so it's up to interpretation.

The difference between dogs and cats is that dogs do absolutely nothing to mask their clinginess while cats pretend it's just a coincidence they're in the same room as you 99% of the time.

This is what we gave up for flatscreen TVs. Photo from my collection, no date/info.

Grainy black-and-white photo of a long-haired ginger, tabby, tuxedo cat and a long-haired ginger kitten on top of a large box TV set. The kitten is sitting up and the cat is lying down with its fluff draped over the edge of the TV set. They both look expectantly at the viewer.

Friendly Reminder: 3DS, Vita and Switch all use a type of flash memory that needs an electrical charge every decade or so to keep the game data from corrupting. TLDR: Boot up all your games and make a save on them to help preserve them into the future!

R-Type was in my opinion the indisputed king of shoot 'em ups in the 80s. I think it was the first to put up gigantic biomechanical bosses, totally animated, that took at least half of the screen. Its relentless difficulty, and razor-sharp level design made every victory feel earned.

This kitty has been trying to come around for months, but was respectful of Fez. I would chase him off because I didn’t want my Fez bothered in his domain. Now that my sweet boy is gone this kitty is coming around more. It’s nice to give it pets. I’m not trying to steal the neighbors cat.

Welcome back, Kickstand! Our wobbly CH guy from the gas station woodlot had to spend some time at another rescuer’s place being kenneled because we had no space for him w/Cid taking up our feral cat room. He didn’t get much socializing while he was there so we’re going to see if we can tame him up.
