(repost) for me it has taken 0 days to get approved for medicaid. but that's for low income, not for disability or minor reasons, so can't be certain what it'll be like for you. once ur approved they can pay for stuff up to 3 months back in WA. watransguide.org might have more

yeah as it says in the guide when I've applied for medicaid it's been approved p much immediately online and then I've been able to use it immediately so I'm hopeful it can be like that for others

I don't know about OR but in WA getting on medicaid is quick/easy IME. 3 months of retroactive coverage. +every hospital has free care for low income patients. in particular UW has financial assistance that I've utilized personally, incl primary care and pharmacy. free care under 300% of the FPL.
