On the one hand, I really dig that we're not turning Tasha into Amuro Ray. On the other, every time I wish she would go weapons free the game is making its point about not turning Tasha into Amuro Ray.

My musical tastes are synthwave, ace combat soundtracks, and angry shit from the 90s. I have no idea what this rolling stone discourse is about.

But Adam, how do I know if I'm a plane perv? There are simple ways to know. Can you quote dialogue from any Gundam (especially Gundam Wing), Top Gun, Macross (yes even Macross 7), or Metal Gear? Did you play any game by Origin Systems in the 90s?

If you’re learning #Japanese, something you may have heard is “don’t translate in your head” but realistically you’d ask "how do I move away from translating in my head?" So I've been trying a method that mimics organic learning using example sentences, but not just generic sentences…

rip to one of the realest ever to do it

JOSHUA BASCHE (assistant cinematics editor, Red Alert 3): It’d be these long takes of them just sitting there reading a teleprompter as lines came up. It was towards the end of the day, and you could kind of tell Curry was tired, he wanted to get out of there. But then that line comes up. And you saw the smile pop onto his face when he read it through first. The first take was that take.
IVANA MILIČEVIĆ (“Dasha,” Red Alert 3): When I saw that, I was like, “I know you’ve been sitting there for hours.”
MICAL PEDRIANA (story and cinematics producer, Red Alert 3): Everyone was busting up.
JOSHUA BASCHE: It’s so bombastic. It’s so fantastic.
STUART ALLISON (cinematic editor, Red Alert 3): This is fucking brilliant. I love this. This is Frank N. Furter, for me.
IVANA MILIČEVIĆ: Was he making fun of it? Or was he having fun?
CHRIS CORRY (executive producer, Red Alert 3): He was ready to bring the ham. I don’t think he was breaking at all.
JOSHUA BASCHE: I think he did exactly what he wanted to do.

The End of Oak Street, despite being about a time travel dinosaur attack, is an entirely gutless affair. It takes no big swings, has no real sense of stakes, and is content to tee up a bunch of secondary characters, only to try and run the bases like a kid who really doesn't get tee ball.

In other news, I may have cracked a code on vocab/kanji retention and recognition. My old habit, which was as comfortable as it was inefficient was to open the green N3 squirrel vocab book and type out a single word and the example sentence which then goes into a single anki card.
