I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

The IDF came into my Twitter replies to try & boost their fake report accusing Palestinian journalists they murdered of being Hamas. But when Piers Morgan invited them to debate the so-called evidence with me, they didn't show up so... he empty-chaired them. And then I debunked their 'study':

Deeply concerned. It's a clear attack on our sovereignty, probably worse attack than all the tariffs, it's literally taking down Canada. I hope we (Canada) impose a law against USA corp take overs, and we should consider nationalizing then selling Stelco, we should not allow enemy ownership.

Seems like it worked as it was supposed to, with enough engines that a single failure doesn't cause the mission to fail. It seems to have proved that it works. Ya they have some reliability work to do, but did you see BO go have a real boom? That's a disaster... tenor.com/mqlv760lVKB....

It has been like this since the beginning of NASA, it was so much worse before because there was no fixed price, Boeing or Lockheed or ULA would just screw NASA and keep billing them more every time they missed a deadline. NASA has been screwed so many times but not by SpaceX (yet)
000
Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
So to be clear, NASA and the US govt don't pay for this development. NASA is paying SpaceX for services to be delivered, like cargo and crew to ISS (only option to get ppl there other then Russia)

What are you doing on social media if not to share ideas & thoughts, sometimes justifying yourself. But as a Canadian ya we have a bug in our bonnet that any Yank not doing somthing to remove the fascist in office is sitting at the table with a fascist. You may not agree but it's how we see it.

Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
What exactly is unnecessary? Any of these: GPS, farmland agriculture tracking, weather tracking, satellite internet, space telescopes to understand our universe, and science satellites to understand gravity. The ISS for understanding nature....

They have a lot left to prove to show it can do everything it's built for: in-orbit refuelling, lunar landing, 150t launch capabilities. ... Can it launch production satellites into orbit now? Yes. Not only that 52t, which is in the top ten heaviest payloads ever.

I'm here for the science and engineering for all rocket companies. But I agree guardrails are required on them to keep them balanced. If you're a Yank, the issue with Elon's ideology and what he's been able to get away with is on you. Do more to stop it; are you organizing or just posting on BS?

It's odd the two extremes here - one saying gov't should "give them any more money" - they buy from them, not give money. - And others saying, "Had look, we don't need gov't anymore"... Are we really unable to see the balance here?
000
Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
That's an odd statement. Gov't contracts fuel their ability to develop and grow from a small single-engine booster into this behemoth. Also, the government created a stable society for us to live in and be able to develop, and all the science that SpaceX uses comes from NASA to build their ships.

We wouldn't have railroads without government investment in firms that build them and the trains. We wouldn't have bus manufacturers either. Most buses are bought by Gov't.

Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
I'm not sure it wouldn't exist, but it wouldn't be what it is without government contracts; they are the single largest buyer in most countries. So should any company that relies on gov't contracts or gets grants not exist in your opinion? A lot of bleeding-edge industry relies on gov't

In context, SpaceX is the only space firm reusing its boosters. Every other booster for the last 70 years has been dropped into the ocean. - you just don't see it on the news/youtube. These are test flights; once final, they will be reusing these rockets, just like they do with Falcon 9.

Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Pretty much all rocket boosters crash into the ocean for the last 70 years. From Saturn V to the Shuttle to SLS. You just don't see them on video. And ya they arent quite as big. But SpaceX is the only one reusing them now.

We would have many very different decisions at council if we did, and in the end, they would be better for the cities in the burbs.

Adam Crain @adamcrain.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
The city is too big and diverse, the whole point of local government is for your gov't to focus on what matters to your local community. We are the capital of Canada but 80% rural, there is something very wrong with that. Time for de-amalgamation; Ottawa should be inside the Greenbelt.

Israeli attacks on Gaza since 2023 killed at least 73,795 people, wounded more than 174,800. More than 20,000 children killed, 44,000 injured. Thousands of children have lost limbs, while roughly 17,000 have been left unaccompanied or orphaned. The US is directly complicit in this atrocity.

Time for de-amaglamation of Ottawa, keep it inside the greenbelt. The burbs are running a city which leads to poor decisions to grow a vibrant central community. And also one that assumes cars are central to it.

We have to stop splitting the vote between progressive parties. NDP and Libs need not run candidates in areas where they are just going to bleed votes away. This is the way until we change our voting system, or else we will forever live under these regressive conservatives.
