I've been watching The Fall and yeah it's good but it's set in Belfast and whenever anyone says "ma'am" it sounds like "mom" so I've been experiencing a very different show where every officer that works with Gillian Anderson's character has a mommy thing.

I started in on Dungeon Crawler Carl and not to yuck anyone's yum but 40 pages in and I'm not enjoying the tone, humor, or protagonist. First person storytelling where I dislike the MC is my literary kryptonite. And this Carl dude gives big CHUD energy. 😬

Sometimes I think I'm pretty cool and then I remember when I was 17 and the friend I'd had a crush on for YEARS kissed me after the date I didn't know we were on. And I was so surprised I laughed into her mouth and our lips made a fart sound. It's really quite a grounding memory.
