I started as a tech in a dealer in 2001 and left in 2017. Brakes, suspension stuff and general maintenance were what we call “gravy work” Relatively easy to do, and customer pay so the hours were good. You’d get a few crap warranty jobs and then some gravy to get you over 8 hours for the day.
