The more I see discussions on chemtrails, cloud seeding, or stuff like food additives. It becomes clear that lack of scientific understanding related to things like chemistry and physics. Which is totally understandable but maybe inexcusable if you don’t going to have a STRONG opinion. ☮️

I believe we can’t help others until we go inward and heal are own traumas to the best of our abilities. Then we move outward slowly to those around us loving them and supporting their healing. It’s slow and painful and beautiful.

I usually ask myself what role is fear playing in someone’s reactions. that typically gets me on the right course than just assuming they are a moron.

Cleaning up a recently acquired Pearl Chad Smith metal snare. Reminds me of a supraphonic as it’s relatively simple.

I am gonna try to start donating to tight campaigns here in US. One side is well capitalized and our funds help us have a voice. It’s not a perfect system but it’s the reality we live in.

Well the EPA is trying roll back emissions standards to support more profit. I am sure many in the agency are sick to their stomachs but this is where we are.

I grew up my an alcoholic mom. I think it started by age 5 maybe sooner. And it continued for 60 years. Some may say I grew up motherless where it matters. And it taught me a lot. 1/

if someone offers you a great deal on an abandoned mansion in the country that sits on a rocky hillside by the sea that has one room that doesn’t appear to have been touched for many moons think twice.

Not a fan of terms like evil because they mask how one gets to a point where atrocities happen. The pathology is what we need to understand but it gets very complicated. One can easily slip into biblical narratives of good vs evil. We have to have a deeper understanding of the forces at play.

I will never believe I have all the answers for myself or anyone else. We dont have the same levels of experience, sensory capabilities, or intelligence. Its futile. And I have witnessed enough trauma in others to understand how it clouds the minds of otherwise good hearts. Dont judge others.

The STR business model is simple. We buy a song, eg on Bandcamp, but raise the capital for that by borrowing against the song, so the debt is the song’s. Then we strip out ghost notes, backing vox, reverb, anything not essential and sell it off. In a few years we flip this optimized song for profit.

I have to admit that even the idea of finding a group of musicians to play with in this present world kinda blows. i guess I can just hang out at Guitar Center and cosplay…

I understand the downside of the passive bid regarding 401ks. I am also Gen X who were basically told this is how we would survive retirement. And understanding the current trajectory of social security, we were wise to go the 401k route. But now we have to be wise and not greedy.

I have been working hard on my drumming this year after a 12 year break. Starting with the e-kit amd eventually bringing out the “real” drums. To be honest, I had forgotten how special playing a drum set can be. You dont have to be a virtuoso to be effective. #drums

A picture of my e-kit that’s basically a five piece with a couple of real cymbals included so I can listen closer to their sounds. Drums are a basic Roland setup with the Zildjian Armand ride and hats. Plus the amazing earth ride.

I decided to see if I could find another level to my drumming in my 50s. I took at least 10 years off. I considered what I wanted to improve and a process to get there. I am six months in showing some small advances. It’s quite rewarding and challenging. Every day quietly going about this thing.
