Not that it excuses any insulting comments in the back and forth here, but I would like to put into perspective that the author in question did just have major surgery and is dealing with significant loss of support during that time.
As an entirely 3rd party observer, grace may be necessary.

Pux Taphouse says they believed this was a “Women’s Dem” event, but realized later it was for Haley Stevens U.S. Senate campaign.

Pux Taphouse used the event to clarify online that it does NOT endorse Stevens because she is Anti-LGBTQAIP2s+ and supports Israel.

On3 initially reported that Kyle Whittingham was shocked that “Michigan did not bench press last year” because it is a “staple lift.” Running back Jordan Marshall confirmed the lack of specific exercise in their daily routines.

“We did not (bench press), just because of shoulder injuries and stuff. I think we need to have it. We’re doing a lot of movements that prepare you for a football game instead of just being in there and just lifting. When we’re doing a movement, it also helps you directly going straight to the field and that’s what counts.”

In 2023, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel and other officials began receiving complaints about “abusive, unprofessional behavior” by women’s water polo coach Cassie Churnside, the law firm found.

In 2024, parents complained, and the next year, two internal complaints were filed with a university office, according to the firm. Manuel’s deputy sent Churnside at least two formal warning letters, and Manuel himself was notified that Churnside disregarded trainers’ medical advice, the firm said.

This past March, a Michigan news release said that Churnside had resigned.

The firm detailed numerous reputational risks about Moore that it said were known at the university. In March 2024, Moore’s online interactions with an OnlyFans model were raised to school officials, according to the findings.

The firm found that officials were aware of his social-media likes of women, which showed up on an athletic department background check, and his overtures to a Michigan fan who posted scantily clad photos on social media. The firm included in its slideshow a photo showing Moore’s car parked at the apartment complex of the staff member with whom he had the affair.

i hate that this is the only reasonable conclusion to draw from the way the university operates

I’m fucking tired. Michigan has shown time and again that there’s no reason to trust they’ll handle their institutional problems seriously when covering their asses is an option. In doing so, they continue to endanger students and staff alike.

Will anything change under the next athletic director? With Manuel providing input on how to move forward, I can only assume the answer is a resounding No.
