Golden Sun was the game that made me think I liked JRPGs a lot more than I actually did.

I was named after my dad's best friend and they stopped being friends when I was like 10 so I think when I changed it he was relieved.

Just look at this li’l guy. I love how the shape of the brush is obviously a stiff circle, like the basic brush in a paint program. (It was probably, basically, a stick, dipped repeatedly in watery slip.) It’s easy to imagine and perform the set of strokes to draw himb.

A little mouse drawn with fat lines with rounded ends — short segments for four legs and ears, a slightly longer one for the tail, a small hump for the head and a big hump for the body, the body then filled in. Adding a pointy nose to the head and a little segment for an eyeball finishes the character. It’s a detail from a photo of an earthenware bowl in the quoted post. These little mice dance around the rim of the bowl, which looks a lot like a modern child’s cereal bowl.

Patlabor 2 is an amazing political thriller and one of my favorites of all time but the line that sticks with me the most is "Reality is often absent at the highest level of decision making."

Soviet Army instructions demonstrating how to wear a pigeon vest, c. 1937

Historical black-and-white illustration showing how carrier pigeons were transported: a pigeon in a small cloth bag, a soldier carrying a pigeon in a specially designed pouch, and another soldier carrying several pigeons in a harness. The bottom illustration shows a portable frame designed to carry multiple pigeons.

Depending on how you tolerate antiandrogens, Finnasteride can be very effective but there are also rare but serious side effects.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

hearing my manager talk about how he owned an illegal bar and ended up neurotic because of how much he was dealing with while also trying not to lose every aspect of his life. Lost friends, ended up a couple years of my rent in the hole, and all so he could host an open mic night.

I also had my 5 year of HRT earlier this year. It's like half my life has been lived in those five years, the time after has been lived so much more fully.
