Aaron takes a deep dive into the world of Zach Cregger's incredible new Resident Evil, playing in cinemas globally now.
getyourcomicon.co.uk
Why RESIDENT EVIL (2026) is The Perfect Video Game Adaptation
Spoilers ahead for Resident Evil (2026) The Resident Evil franchise has had its fair share of misfires on the big screen, not through lack of trying. However, where the previous entries faltered, this new film from Weapons director Zach Cregger seems to right the wrongs of the past by delivering a tense, blood-soaked thrill ride that genuinely feels like a love letter to the games that came before. Adapting video games into feature-length films has always been an uphill struggle for filmmakers and studios. Trying to walk that fine line between what to take from the source material and what new ideas can be introduced is where most video game movies usually fall short, regardless of how much or how little they make at the box office.

Today is 20 years since the pilot episode of Heroes. In celebration Aaron is taking a look back at the series incredible legacy and its fandom.
getyourcomicon.co.uk
HEROES 20 Years On: A Show Ahead of Its Time
In 2006, a show seemingly came out of nowhere to take the world by storm, rivalling heavyweights at the time, such as Lost and 24. Created by showrunner Tim Kring, Heroes became an immediate worldwide phenomenon upon its release and maintained its success throughout its gripping first season. Back then, the line 'Save the cheerleader. Save the world' was inescapable, and you had this show to thank for it. Despite it still being an enjoyable watch across its four-season run, issues outside of Kring's control, ranging from writers' strikes to network interference, gradually chipped away at the show's overall quality, turning this once-popular show into a partially forgotten cult series.

The 20 Best JACKASS Stunts, Ranked
With Jackass: Best and Last currently making audiences laugh and gag in cinemas for the last time, it only seemed fair to take a trip down memory lane and look back at the legacy of stupidity Johnny Knoxville and co. have left behind for the past 25 years, with a list of the best stunts they've ever put to screen. For context, this list only accounts for stunts from the five theatrically released films, which means anything from the original TV show or the .5 films, despite how funny they may be, won't be included here.

Skateboarding Is Not for Girls (Tribeca Film Festival 2026) – Charmingly Honest
The line between modern and traditional values, especially in some European, Asian, or Middle Eastern countries, has sparked debate for years among those who live in these regions. Several films, such as Flee, Mustang, and Persepolis, have previously looked at similar themes specifically from a woman’s perspective, and now Dina Duma’s Skateboarding Is Not for Girls is another fascinating entry to that already great list.
