whenever I feel the need to reclaim the word “degenerate” for comedic purposes I just replace it with the word “pervert”. like, A+ way to acknowledge odd behavior even if it isn’t necessarily sexual, doesn’t make you sound accidentally like a nazi, more of a “I’m swinging my purse at you” vibe
