Can vaccines aid the race against Ebola in the Congo?New Stanford Medicine-led research in The Lancet sheds important light ont he potential of vaccines to contain the Ebola outbreak currently devastating the DRCc. Researchers led by Jason Andrews MD modeled vaccines of varying effectiveness alongside other prevention strategies.The findings emphasize the importance of increased international suppot for contact tracing, containment and diagnostics alongside vaccine access.
