POTUS gave a convicted child sex abuser favorable treatment, and dangled the prospect of a pardon, so she would tell lies about if he was implicated in her crimes. That's not speculative or circumstantial, it's a cold hard proven fact, in and of itself more than enough to demand removal from office.

Back in February we enrolled and were approved for companionate use of our phase I solid tumor therapy for a patient given weeks to months to live. He’s here in clinic and hugging staff and everyone in site! Love this! Invest in science 😊

Spent the evening discussing 5 years later regarding the start of the COVID19 pandemic. I can STILL recall the first patient hand I held after their terminal extubation. A hand I held so they wouldn’t die alone, while the family cried over Zoom. That sound, that feeling, it is etched into my mind😞

Patient months on a ventilator than a tracheostomy; today, they received their speaking valve. I love these moments, watching their families hear them, for the first time in months! It’s these moments that reaffirm humanity in the ICU and reset hope for all 🤗

A dose of good: Long day at work finished by being in Turner Station teaching their Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts bystander CPR! May be biased, but as an ICU doctor, this is such a vital skill to learn. Invest in youth and teach them skills that make them super heroes 💪

Worked four amazing years at the NIH. Caring for patients in the ICU. Researching on sepsis & healthcare policy. And I can say without any doubt: the NIH is the standard of healthcare & research. Much to do with the amazing people that work there. Medicine cannot be a public trust without the NIH.

Running around to help a patient have the efficient process they need for tests, tests that will dictate management, reminds me of how fragile our health system is. Constant barriers forcing an arbitrary administrative timeline fails to recognize that diseases don’t abide by prior authorizations 😡
