Bluesky aims to give users ownership of their digital identities and control over their networks while creating a more open internet where value and revenue can flow directly to the people who generate them.

“First, we’ll start with payments, but I think it’s about disrupting the actual infrastructure layer, which is what we’re doing, and not just building another app,” Wang said.

Encounter wrote that the use of AI in the community has sped things up to the point where it has become overwhelming to track human-led projects, and people using AI have taken existing, human-led AI projects and have created “hostile forks” of them, where open-source code written by humans is taken and “finished” by AI: “These kinds of hostile forks put little to no effort into meaningfully contributing to existing projects, tearing apart our community fabric.” Encounter added, “anyone with an AI subscription can manage to create a port or static recompilation that functions at a basic level […] While community members put in the effort to decompile a game, opportunists have frequently raced to release a half-baked, barely-functional port from it.”

Sun Princess's own editor, Lorenzo Hall, gets to flex by writing a prose prequel to Sun Princess about Zettie's very First Hunt (and how she got that definitely fake ID). Money will go to paying him for his work and getting it printed alongside the comic. Will be included in TRY-OUT FEE and above tiers and as an add-on.

Lorenzo Antonio Hall – Editor and Collaborator

Born in North Carolina, Lorenzo Hall started his love of literature when his grandmother taught him to read. His original novels, Desert Rain and Dragon’s Domain, were Lorenzo’s first major works before he began work in the comic space. Professionally, he’s written for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles between original comic works.

When Lorenzo isn’t talking ideas with other creative people, he’s no doubt making puns or being theatrical. Currently he’s contemplating how to combine those passions for A Play on Words. He recently was successful in funding his own comic, Arisan!

Now I gotta catch up. I'm not famiiliar with Flanagan's prior projects but I really found what I've seen so far thoughtful in what it chose to show. There's a lot of progressive messaging but I like the care it took to give Carrie more support alongside the bullying. There's a lot to interpret too!

Up to ep 4 and watched the original movie for better context on some things/updates. So! 1) I think you'll enjoy this 2) Yikes that old movie's aged poorly in a lot of ways. The best scenes really did focus on Carrie and I see why the main event had staying power.
