...and I know that I'm not alone! But that means it is difficult for an indie working with small or non-existent budgets to feasibly do that work and provide those visuals. (Here is the point where ppl are going to refer to a few isolated things. That's great, but there is still significant gap)

What I'd like to do with Thoughtcrime is to make afro-fantasy/future/grimdark/whatever stock art more available to ppl. It becomes a sel-reinforcing cycle: every time I want to do something in TTRPGs, it is easy to find plentiful sources until I want black faces, then... it gets difficult.

I invented a perfectly balanced, cannot be improved upon sorting system for everything I've ever written. Everyone is either Trade, A Trollop, or a Guttersnipe. Also works as a pretty good replacement for Ladies and Gentlemen so long as everyone has a sense of humor and there's at least 1 other gay

“Deception” is the right term. This is leveraging the affective sense of a presence for the sake of convincing people of a falsehood. It’s not hard to create something and imbue it with a semblance of agency and have our affective sensibilities do the work for us.
