Just got back from Jarred Huffman's town hall. NIce being in a district that's represented by someone who not only shows up, but gets cheered, not booed. Now I didn't get to ask my question, and in the scheme of things it's not as important as defeating Christian nationalism, but here's what I […]

This post mastodon.social/@the_wub/1172458930… reminded me of a photo I took 20 years ago. There are two people in this photo. Can you find them? @the_wub

A photograph of two women, with their bodies painted green. The one in front is laying on her back, the one in back is laying on her stomach. There is a miniature sign that says "Welcome to Ferndale", and there is an HO scale barn, house, tractor and cows displayed on their bodies. Marshmellows are used to depict the wrapped hay bales. One has a smiley face written on it as one rancher used to do that.

Beautiful Girls – Van Halen’s sophomore album is grade A rock and roll the whole way through. The pairing of Eddie’s screaming guitar and David’s vocals made Van Halen and it’s a shame David’s ego blew up the band later because they just weren’t the same with Sammy on vocals. It was really hard […]

The Beds Too Big Without You – Regatta de Blanc is another album I could have featured several songs from. I loved how The Police blended so many genres in their music, especially the reggae influence. In high school there was a cover band, Wildfire, that was a trio of guys in my class. The lead […]

@gottalaff.bsky.social I did. My first guess is that something broke in Bridgy that's causing Mastodon to think that you're quoting Mastodon users rather than Bluesky. @gottalaff.bsky.social Is this a quote of a Mastodon or Bluesky post? Most of your posts you're quoting Bluesky posts so I'm wondering if its something that broke in the program that allows Bluesky and Mastodon to cross feed. Can't remember the name of that program.

@gottalaff.bsky.social The message from Mastodon says it's set by the user you're quoting, not you. But I have a hard time believing it's every single user you quote that changed their setting all at once. So I think it might be a bug either in the latest version of Mastodon, or something your […]
