So #Meta, a company that thrives on having content go viral, shuts down No Kings account right during the protests because people are heavily interacting with their software. Uh huh, makes total sense.

#caturday I'm always intrigued by how our cats will have one favorite place to sleep for a while and then give it up. Could be the barber chair, the back of the sofa, some random box, or just a favorite spot on the floor. Mr. Darcy's habit this week has been to […] [Original post on sfba.social]

For months I've been getting phone calls from numbers that Caller ID says is from Legget, CA. I don't know anyone from Legget so they're obvious spam and easy to ignore, but it's a totally weird place to be spoofing calls from. Always different numbers. But after receiving so many of them I […]

Going big for our weekly Sunday protest in Ferndale tomorrow. I borrowed the phrase from the Internet, I wish I could remember where so I could credit them. Our only gas station in town only sells regular. I'd hate to see what the diesel price would be if they sold it. #trump #gasPrices

Protest poster with the words "Racism is Expensive" with a photo of the local gas price of $7.54 and a Trump "I Did That" sticker.

Just finished the big project I've been working on the last few months, repainting the front of our Victorian. I still have a few more projects I'd like to get done before El Niño hits, but this was the main one that needed to get done before the rainy season starts.

I think 53 pumpkins should get us comfortably through the winter for pumpkin pie. Even more left on the vines but I'm not sure they will fully ripen as the vines are beginning to die. All this from just 3 plants. Maybe next year I'll settle on just one. #garden #harvest

The drippy fog finally gave way this morning, allowing me to put up the first coat of the first color. I need another whole week like today to get this finished.

The front of an Eastlake Victorian house with two gabled square bays. It is currently in the process of being painted, with lots of white primer still showing. When finished the body will be dark brown, major trim is tan, and there are further accent color of red, blue, creamy yellow, and white.

Now that all the prep is finally done, the weather has turned too drippy to paint. Hopefully we'll get some drier weather before the real rain starts. Usually we have pretty decent weather this time of the year which is why I try schedule my outdoor painting for late Sept. early Oct.
