We both have temp work with King County Elections for October and November, and after that, Leif will have at least 3.5 months of electrician work, so we'll be okay. But the fact that I backed away from something that was almost a done deal makes me want to cry. It feels so irresponsible.

I just withdrew an application for a state position that was basically a done deal in favor of something riskier that may not even happen, but is something I'd enjoy far more. I was sick all night thinking about it. I lost sleep, had a stomach ache . . . so I followed my instincts. T_T
