That’s right kind of comparison - the Sharp is a 16 bit computer so it goes toe to toe with the Amiga, classic Macs, and 16 bit consoles. In my opinion, it outclasses them all with graphics and sound. The music composed on this computer is top tier and there are a ton of excellent tracks to enjoy!

I really can’t believe I got this Turbo Express working again! Alkaline batteries from the 90s completely exploded and wreaked havoc on all of the PCBs. I replaced the cart slot pcb and controller pcb, patched a bunch of traces, and installed an LCDDRV to finish the job!

Just finished restoring this Genesis Model 1 using @zaxour.bsky.social 3BP+ and flex cables, and it’s a game changer! The flex makes the install clean with only a few wires needed, and the 3BP+ makes the video and audio look phenomenal! I recommend this combo to get the best from your Genesis!

To my amazement, the original SCSI HDD was still operational on this computer! Thanks to BlueSCSI's Initiator mode, I was able to make a perfect image of it. An external BlueSCSI from @museumjoe.bsky.social now uses this image along with many others. Always great to see another Mac restored! 3/

As expected, this computer did not power on at all when I first received it. This is due to bad electrolytic capacitors on the computer motherboard and also on the analog board. All electrolytic caps were replaced to get it working again 2/
