The man's large hand flexes around the person's waist.
Then, breaking the kiss to bring his mouth to the ear that's in Akashi's line of sight, his golden gaze raking up and down Akashi's form from head to toe, he speaks.
"You're doing so good," he says with a hum, lips brushing the shell of their ear. "Keep going like that, we still have lots of time."
Oh, and his voice is nice. It's deep in a way that feels safe to fall into.
Akashi leans his weight into the bookcase in front of him for support, his head tilting as his gaze focuses on the man's lips now. They look soft and pink and pillowy and...
What the hell is Akashi doing?

E | 19.7 K | BokuAka
Blooming For You
Akaashi, Bokuto, and Konoha have been roommates since they finished high school. Living together with an alpha can be hard at times, but since both Akaashi and Konoha are betas, it's not impossible. If only their second gender was a problem, Akaashi would be fine, but unfortunately, his feelings towards Bokuto get in the way. He never confessed. How could he? They were friends, and Bokuto deserved a nice, sweet omega, a fated mate, who could give him pups and not an average beta guy who couldn't even ease the struggles of a rut. Akaashi knew that on an anatomical level, he wasn't made to be with Bokuto, and he was fine with them just being friends. It had to be enough, because there was nothing more meant for them
*
One completely normal morning, Akaashi wakes up feeling unwell. He's got a fever and an ache that bites deep into his skin, muscles, and bones. Is that just a common flu, or a presage of something bigger that will change everything he ever knew about himself?

The Point Between Smoke & Sublimity
A Bokuto x Akaashi Historical Fiction AU Based on Pride & Prejudice and Call Me by Your Name

The Point Between Smoke & Sublimity by belmaricar4
When 20-year-old Koutarou, a young gentleman from the industrial hub of England, is invited to work on the estate of Mr. Shin Akaashi, one of the richest men in the country, he does not expect to fall in love with his employer's son, especially after finding him so unpleasant during their first interaction at a local ball.

When 19-year-old Keiji returns to England after two years spent abroad, he thinks he has resigned himself to a life of suffocating civilities and public pressure as the heir to his family's massive fortune. But his father has something else in mind for their future, and Keiji finds himself immediately drawn to the carefree young man now living in his house.

Keiji and Koutarou experience a short, intense summer romance that they know is doomed. But that knowledge doesn't hold them back.

Written for the Bokuaka Exchange 2026 and inspired by my two favorite movies, Pride and Prejudice and Call Me By Your Name

It's #WIP week for the #BokuAka exchange organized by @bokuakaevents.bsky.social I'm happy to bring to you not one, not two but three snippets! 🤭🩷

Living with an Alpha wasn't easy if you weren't mated with them. Fortunately, Bokuto's ruts weren't making him aggressive or territorial, and, as two betas, Akaashi and Konoha were safe from being attacked, since they didn't present as threats, but there was another set of things they had to deal with, one of them being pre-rut neediness.

While in the first stages of rut, Bokuto was always very clingy, rubbing his swollen glands against them and scenting them from head to toe. Neither Akaashi nor Konoha could smell it, but the effects of this behaviour were noticeable as soon as they went outside. Every alpha and omega in the vicinity was keeping their distance, sometimes even scrunching their noses. The two didn't have the heart to tell their friend to stop since it seemed to be putting him at ease, at least for the first few days, before his rut really kicked in.

When on rut blockers, Bokuto didn't get the need to cuddle that much and acted as normal as ever. Akaashi wished he could use the blockers every time.

It's not that he had anything against being cuddled and scented. He liked the thought of helping Bokuto, his best friend of the last seven years. He loved the attention and the comfort, and he wanted to stay like that forever. He wished he could smell Bokuto's pheromones, preen, and expose his nape to be bitten and become mates. He wanted to shower Bokuto in his own scent, drive away any omegas, and mark him as his. And that was a problem. Akaashi would give up everything to be Bokuto's omega, but it simply wasn't in his cards.

"Good morning," Akaashi spoke up, trying to squeeze as much energy as he could to not worry his best friend, but was surprised when Bokuto came even closer and stuffed his head into the crook of his neck.

"You smell so good," Bokuto hummed sleepily, as Akaashi prayed to every deity that could be listening not to let Bokuto hear his racing heartbeat in that moment.

"It's just my shower gel, the same as always," he chuckled sheepishly, trying to calm his poor heart and change the subject. "How did you sleep?"

Bokuto shook his head and purred. Right, his rut was only a few days away, so that was normal. "'s not it. It's you,"

Have a little snippet of the bkak I've been working on for the 2026 BokuAka Exchange! Wonder what's got Bokuto so riled 👀 Excited to share this one with you all, I haven't posted anything in over a year 🎉 Thanks as always to @bokuakaevents.bsky.social for putting this together!! 💜💜💜

The first man who had shoved past everyone was grabbing Akaashi’s arm and physically pulling at him. For what reason, Bokuto couldn’t tell. Maybe for a picture, maybe to yell more questions at him. But it didn’t matter. They’d gone too far now. Nobody should be putting their hands on Akaashi.

Bokuto stepped towards them, put his hand in the center of the man’s chest, and pushed. “Hey!” he growled. “Back up.”

Like a splash of cool water, the man’s entire demeanor withered. “I-I was just…” he sputtered.

“I don’t care,” Bokuto barked back. “You keep your hands off him!”

A sudden hush rippled through the crowd. All eyes, which had been on Bokuto and Akaashi to begin with, seemed to sharpen their gaze in shock. A nagging, sensible part of his brain told him that he’d just made a horrible mistake, and someone was going to spin this into an assault. But none of that mattered in this moment. Someone had grabbed Akaashi. Put their hands on him. Bokuto would not allow that.
