I just watched the final episode today. It mirrors current politics to a tea. Nothing has changed over thousands of years really. The inspiration for plot and character was evident from our own past and present. Excellent series. 👍

You get that Iran is not an irrational actor and that Iran has done everything it could to avoid antagonizing the irrational aggressors for many years now, right? The analog to the Red Wedding is the US and Israel launching attacks during peace talks which they have done over and over again.
