Rodger Sherman @rodger.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Ludacris and E-40 songs in commercials for national brands ... good to see that they're trying to appeal to young people like me, and the music we enjoy, which came out recently 1347740
yellowstoneten @yellowstoneten.bsky.social · 22/03/2026as a younger person i first learned about E-40 from that one MC Lars song: 🎵 i wish i was a little bit hyphy / i wish E-40 liked me / i wish i didn't crash going ghost riding nightly 🎵 000

flight • reflex @flightreflex.bsky.social · 22/03/2026I love choices that stem from some random exec asking “eh, are there songs with the word ‘$THING$’ in the lyrics?”. At some point in the early aughts there was an NFL ad celebrating all their teams with ani difranco’s “32 Flavors” in the background. 130

Shane McBride @smcbride2910.bsky.social · 22/03/2026I like to imagine Ludacris went to Lowe’s while building that room for a couple of gats, a couple of knives, a couple of rats, and a couple of wives. 120
We're Skroob @pseudonymble.bsky.social · 23/03/2026That's not them trying to appeal to a young demographic, that's them trying to appeal to a target demographic. The kids got no money. 000
KUNA @yurrpost.bsky.social · 22/03/2026but isn't it weird that they're using our music to sell stuff we might not even need? 000
Hans Shenk @juanersatzman.bsky.social · 23/03/2026No, no, all the kids are thrilled by the Serena Wegovy commercial with Sleigh Bells. The anthem of the youthfully vital. 000
🎃Minoru-kun👻 @yousoro.bsky.social · 22/03/2026This being the main song for a Lowe's ad campaign has me from 20-25 years ago so shook 040
Dailey @dailey247.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Let's see, it says here that "In A Major Way" is older now than "Help!" was when IAMW was released, and if you'll excuse me I'm going to go figure out how to burn down the entire internet. 100
