Having a functional transit system is a basic responsibility for any major city. Ottawa continues to fail at this basic obligation and residents are right to be angry. We all deserve better.

PPP is a failed model and yet this council doubled down on PPP with the Landsdowne 2.0 deal, all whilst knowing transit had major problems that will require significant funding. Decisions by this council are compounding the Watson era problems.

I made the decision, early in the week, not to pursue a job because it was three busses to get to it. That's three chances a bus won't show up, and I'd miss my transfer. Granted it wasn't a job I was sure would be a fit, but even so. I shouldn't have to view things that way.

A better transit system would be worth 1000$s per year to me and my family. But we get OC transpo instead, which ain't it.
