Or were they all outside the Marvel universe?
Huh. Hadn’t really thought about this, but yeah, it’s easy to think of DC books that fit the bill & much harder for Marvel. Best I can come up with is the X-Men standalone story “God Loves, Man Kills.” Which is great but nowhere near Watchmen or Killing Joke in cultural prominence & influence.
