In 2022, for-profit health insurers paid $10B in compensation to agents and brokers for enrolling individuals into Medicare Advantage plans. My legislation would bar financial perks for agents and brokers and ensure they work with patients to choose the best plan for them.

I worked as an exec in this field. I believe most insurers would love to get rid of commissions to brokers. They are useless, over paid tools. AI will replace them all by 2028.

We need legislation to allow seniors who enrolled into a Medicare Advantage plan to be able to move to original Medicare w/o getting dinged for preexisting conditions. Medicare Advantage providers are disallowing &/or slowing down approval on procedures original Medicare covers w/o hassle.

You already recognize that they are doing work and can be helpful to people finding the best plan for them. Don't eliminate their compensation; just make it the same for every plan. Take away the conflict of interest so they make recommendations that serve only their clients and not themselves.

This would be amazing. The more they care about patients, the better the attention and enrollment, the better the agents can profit. that Breaking down benefits & making them understandable for everyone. Part of the problem is that most people don't understand insurance or know their benefits.
