The base of support for the GOP comes from rural areas and small towns, but the voices of the GOP all live in big cities. Maybe this is why the GOP leadership says things that sound good for rural voters but enact policies that are very bad for them.

Here's a funny thing about trickle down economics. Profit does not trickle down. If businesses make more money, it doesn't mean that they will lower prices or add to payroll. Costs, however, do trickle down. Prices go up and payrolls shrink when costs to businesses increase.

I just feel like saying it again: The Iran war was unwinnable from the start. None of the stated goals of the war could possibly have been achieved with bombs and blockades. Iran still has its uranium, nuclear ambitions, missiles, and proxies. Now it has tolls from the Strait of Hormuz as well.

My mother used to say "Don't throw out the dirty water until you have the clean." It means that I shouldn't get rid of something that may be sub-optimal, but is at least somewhat effective until I have secured a more effective solution. Sub-optimal and somewhat effective is better than nothing.

Honestly, i don't understand this economy when nursing homes are so expensive they bankrupt our grandparents but nursing home aides need to use food banks.
daycare is so expensive it eats up one parent's entire paycheck and yet daycare providers only make $10/hr and need second jobs.
college costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and puts students into debt for life and yet we have thousands of professors living in their cars.
everything we need is astronomically expensive and yet almost none of the money we pay is going towards the people actually doing the work and providing the services.

I don't know who needs to be reminded of this, but there is already a process for people to seek recompense if they have been the victim of vindictive prosecution by the government. They can sue, prove it in Court, and be awarded damages. There's no need for a "weaponization fund".

Trump "calls off" attack on Iran he wasn't actually doing, claiming the "perimeters" of a deal he doesn't actually have. This makes a third time around the cycle.

The U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II.
