Bookmark this skeet so that when the game inevitably falls short of "largest gaming release of all time" (because literally who could meet such a high bar???) and Rockstar says they have to lay off workers due to "falling short of expectations" we can safely say "you set them up for failure."

These firms routinely 1. don't understand (and don't WANT to understand) video games/gamers and 2. chronically set expectations that are so outside of how games will perform that they just shutter studios bc they do not understand how the industry works lol when will this shit end 😩

GTA5 made $1billion in 3 days. I absolutely expect GTA6 to beat that, but it WILL be limited by the fact that it is only on current gen consoles. No last gen and no PC. There were more PS3s in 2013 than there are PS5s now. $7 billion in 2 months is unlikely, tho it depends on GTA 6 online.

It’s amazing how much of that story are guesses and maybe just lies from the investment dude they are talking about. GTA v may have hit that profit according to a simple search I bet they are using that number but think it will take months when that was over 10 years and mutable hardware gens
