Border Patrol agents stage show of force at Newsom's 'big beautiful press conference'

Border Patrol agents arrested at least one person, who a coworker said was delivering strawberries, outside of Gov. Gavin Newsom's event in Little Tokyo.

It seems like trump is using them as his personal gestapo. Isn’t this illegal? Why is he not being buried in lawsuits. Especially from California. It makes me not trust Newsom’s motives. I think he also desires admiration over actually getting things done. He is just going after a different crowd?

But this is blatantly illegal under the Hatch Act!

Newsom was set to speak at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles, when Border Patrol Sector Chief Gregory Bovino, who has been leading the immigration operations in California, arrived in Little Tokyo, flanked by agents in helmets, camouflage, masks and holding guns.

“We’re here making Los Angeles a safer place since we won’t have politicians that’ll do that, we do that ourselves,” Bovino told a Fox 11 reporter in Little Tokyo. “We’re glad to be here, we’re not going anywhere.”
