this iconic advertising copywriter named Kathy Hepinstall Parks died over the weekend and I wanted to share something from her website I thought Bluesky would like

Why should I write better when a machine can do it for me?
Because actually no one can do it for you, because your voice is unique among all the people on earth. Siri never petted a horse's neck. Alexa has never been ghosted by the captain of the football team. But you have lived, your heart is beating, you have suffered, and you have something important to say. It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

This is an experimental animation test I made back in 2023 which combines character transformation with smoke FX animation. I'd love to do more animations like this in the future! Could be fun to do a fully cleaned and composited test someday when I have the time. #animator #2DFX #FXanimation

With JP and Art Fight I have been feeling very dino-coded. I did this this morning to decompress from that last project. Enjoy my Dino Bavom in his Baryonyx form. 🦴 #griffia | #dinosuar | #character🦴

More art? From me? Couldn't be! Me and @zukuro.bsky.social 's OCs!!

A dog-like creature with chain plasma arms stands over a wounded raptor.

Two nerds snuggling. One is smaller, missing right leg, the other is buff and has green hair.

Due to my broken main arm, I'm left without a monthly income and can't even take c0mmissions atm. So if you want to support me, below are a few ways to do so. RTs are very appreciated. Thank you so much. 💔

I wouldn't wish my pain on anyone, but sometimes I do wish that it was easier for people without SLE, Fibro, and MCTD to understand. I can't even take a shower without straining my entire back and make my legs feel like I ran an uphill mile. I wash my hair and feel beaten for 4 days.
