just found out an artist i liked on here deleted their bsky account because of the amount of harassment they received for unintentionally drawing something problematic, and it's like, what the fuck are we doing? now they're going to stay on twitter and just get pushed further right

Something deep inside me told me I should draw Donkey Kong today.

A four panel comic titled "Hours, Bananas, Doors."
Donkey Kong awakens staring at himself in a mirror, then stares down at his hand as he notices a strange watch on his wrist.
Staring at his wrist, the watch turns out to be one of the numbered bracelets from 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors from the Zero Escape series. It's Junpei's bracelet. For some reason.
Peach then asks a confused Donkey Kong, "Donkey Kong? Have you ever heard of the Parallel Banana Theory?"

I don't know this song but this paragraph accidentally exemplifies something I've been thinking about lately. In a world where everyone curates their own feeds, there can be things that seem absolutely massive that you can't stop hearing about, but 99% of people have never heard of

Would be cool if the dan gheesling situation lead to people being generally less ok with games that glorify militaries but I don't actually believe that will happen

Felt like updating my 25 games list since it's been 3 years. I also wrote a little about each game. A mix between recommending them, describing them, and saying why they're important to me. I like that I was able to have a full mystery row on this one. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Row 1: 1000xResist. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Dark Souls. Deltarune. Big Walk.
Row 2: Higurashi When They Cry. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Immortality. Outer Wilds.
Row 3: Portal. Mina the Hollower. Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Super Mario Odyssey.
Row 4: Pokémon Emerald Version. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. Kirby Air Riders. Chibi-Robo! Pikmin 2.
Row 5: Space Channel 5: Part 2. Super Mario Maker 2. Garry's Mod. Terraria. Animal Crossing.

had a very bad mental health day today. some of the lowest I've ever been. but I just spent the last two hours updating my 25 favorite games list from three years ago, and writing a paragraph about each one. and wow, it turns out that thinking and writing about all my favorite things really helps me

a catch is when a possession consists of at least one football move, unless there is first intent that can clearly be observed. the if the intent is observed concurrently with the possession, the ball carrier must first establish zone in space. zone in space is an acquiescence of one's football self

I loved Cohost but the only time I had a bad interaction on there was when someone condescendingly said that people playing games with timers were "mindlessly eating up that slop", and when I asked them to be a little nicer like other cohost users, they essayed about how awful I am for saying that

I like how if a mario maker course is called HARDEST LEVEL EVER!!!!! it's just enemy spam and 3 bowsers, and you just have to find the hidden star and run to the end But if it's called Slightly Spicy Spaghetti it'll be an incredibly difficult kaizo that ends with 3 frame perfect tricks in a row

Been playing ape escape 3, and I realized that it reminds me of super mario sunshine in that I enjoy both games a lot but there's also a general sense of jank throughout both. And both games have sections where the jank is so horrendous that the developers are kind of evil for leaving it in as is
