iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Because of it I've found myself rereading sentences and rewatching things often because I just cannot seem to keep focused and absorb what's in front of me the first time around. It's frustrating.

I keep saying "Not much" whenever someone asks if I've been watching anything lately when that is like...blatantly not true. I need to stop zoning out about everything.

Ash Ketchum. Despite being 10 years old, that boy has faced creatures from beyond the pale and cheated death multiple times. He could very easily overcome the perils of the Evil Dead franchise. Ash Williams while resourceful, is more likely to get bodied by poor type match-ups.

Experimental post: The Duality of Whacka In the Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Whacka can finally be fought, and has a suspiciously specific 108 HP. The game both offers a ridiculously simplistic explanation for this as well as a complex one steeped in Dharmic symbolism.

In Paper Mario, the original version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Super Paper Mario, Whacka was just a harmless whack-a-mole creature that could be abused to get Whacka Bumps, extremely valuable healing items. After being hit enough times, the Whacka goes extinct, teaching the players the consequences of their actions. However, in the Switch version of Paper Mario: TTYD, he instead moves to the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and becomes an optional superboss with 108 HP.
He is fought at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and has to be hit 8 times in order for the fight to activate.
but also
The number 108 is considered sacred by the Dharmic religions, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
Whacka symbolizes karma for killing him in past games

Buddhism holds the view that there are precisely 108 temptations on the path to Nirvana.
Therefore, in order to reach Nirvana, every Buddhist must resist 108 earthly temptations.
With a combination of any of the elements of the above four factors, there are 108 ways with which the karmas can be attracted to the soul.
the earthly temptation to get those Whacka Bumps
There are 108 qualities of praiseworthy souls
Some people think that the human spirit travels through 108 stages, while others believe that enlightenment is attainable with just 108 breaths each day while in Intense meditation,
108 beads to awaken your inner light
Meditators count mantra repetitions with mala beads of 108, (100 counted for self, 8 for mistakes and for those who have not the opportunity to meditate in mantra)
108 breaths to return to your truth
108 mantras to dissolve ego into dever

I've been super scatterbrained lately, which has made playing Touhou difficult because any run I need to restart becomes an opportunity for my brain to get distracted with something else. I'm not that good staying focused enough to build on my previous failures. It's a problem!

Always great when a company going insane with monopolization causes the bag they're holding to start leaking from the bottom.

Umineko is a fantastic visual novel with wonderful characters where being compared to 9 out of 10 of them feels like being shot.

This entire year I've been saying "Do I even like playing video games anymore?" and then I stayed up until 2am on Sunday night playing Ace Combat 8 so I think that answers that.

7 was a really good taste for me being new to the series but 8 is the version of it that's just way meatier in what it has to offer, both in gameplay and character.

Ace Combat 8 fucking ruled. I think I liked it way more than 7 which I already enjoyed a lot.

You always see the bunny girls and lizard girls being all cool or cuddly, showing off their strength or farming aura. It's not like cats aren't doing that but for the most part when I see them it's like here is your basic bitch het fantasy you BIMBO, you SLUT.

The downside to having a cat girl in FFXIV is that I'm way more into the cute, occasionally horny scenarios all the lizard and bunny girls are getting up to.
