but yes in general, good camp is hard to come by. I absolutely agree that theres media thats out there that even sole purpose is tl sterilize and regresses the strength in Good Art.

I think people will always try to steal things they don't truly understand in hopes they can profit or reach an audience they cant tap into easily. just like the goth & punk scene. those who understand it for what it truly is, will see and notice when it has been stolen rather than understood.

I can absolutely understand the perspective & questioning. My immediate thoughts are: because they dont truly challenge a conversation or a critique with its nature, i see them as corny and not camp at all. i think thats what makes camp so hard to define, especially in such watered down media state
