When I learned my father was active in the 68 movement, it was 1988 and they were trying to reflect on what had happened back then and since. When 9/11 happened, I was a first year graduate student in NYC, a month into my new life. Some say it has been 25 years since. Time is unfathomable.

my local gov halted new data center development and is pouring the net revenue from existing sites into affordable housing. this has been a far more productive use of the revenue than other localities, which have largely used to it cut property taxes (in a state with fairly lower property taxes)
